AKG 141, 240M, 240DF Headphones
The most widely used headphones in recording studios...

A proven "workhorse" throughout the recording industry, the K141M serves as the reference standard for supra-aural (on-the-ear) monitor headphone designs...

A small coupling volume in the ear cup, combined with an "integrated semi-open" venting system behind the transducer, gives the K 141 M its trademark sound: punchy, accurate and crisply defined. The K 141 M will deliver high sound pressure levels without distortion and it is solidly built to withstand around-the-clock session use.

K 141

Type: Semi-open, Supra-aural

A classic design which has become a standard in monitoring.

The "integrated semi-open air" design incorporates a highly accurate dynamic transducer, and an acoustically tuned venting structure behind the element produces a naturally open sound quality. The circumaural (around-the-ear) pads are designed for hours of wearing comfort, while the steel-cable, self-adjusting headband construction and single-sided professional quality audio interconnect ensure extended reliability in demanding professional studio applications.

K 240 Monitor

Type: Semi-open, Parabolic
Frequency Range: 15 Hz to 20,000 Hz
Impedance: 600 Ohm
Sensitivity: 88 dB/mW
Net Weight: 240 g (8.5 oz.)

K 270
The reference headphones...

Semi-open headphones meeting the Institute of Radio Technology standards.

The K 240 DF follows the criteria specified by the Institute of Radio Technology (IRT) in Munich for a "diffuse field" equalization curve that provides headphone listeners with the sound pattern, characteristic of a room with reflective, non-anechoic surfaces. Each K 240 DF is rigorously tested to assure strict adherence to the IRT standards for frequency response, channel separation and sensitivity.

With two transducers in each earcup, the K 270 S achieves undistorted, wide-bandwidth reproduction at the output levels far beyond the capability of conventional headphones.

The patented Parabolic Transducer Array in the K 270 S has two optimized transducers in each earcup, both precisely configured in a tuned enclosure to focus sound waves at the entrance to the ear. The result is a dramatically increased perception of spaciousness, extremely accurate response, and no audible distortion at output levels far beyond the capability of single transducer headphones.

K 270 Studio

Type: Sealed, Circumaural, Parabolic
Frequency Range: 20 Hz to 28,000 Hz
Impedance: 75 Ohm
Sensitivity: 92 dB/mW
Net Weight: 270 g (9.5 oz.)
